Within the “Women in Business – She Rises” conference, the first discussion panel was held, focused on public policies and the current challenges faced by women entrepreneurs in Kosovo.
The panel was attended by the Deputy Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship, Trade and Innovation, Jeton Mehmeti, the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development, Armend Muja, the Minister of Labour, Family and War Values, Andin Hoti, as well as the executive director of the Agency for Gender Equality, Edi Gusia.
The panellists discussed institutional measures and policies aimed at women’s economic empowerment, supporting female entrepreneurship and increasing women’s participation in the labour market.
During the discussion, the importance of creating more favourable conditions for women who wish to develop business activities was emphasized, as well as the need for continuing institutional support through financing programs, professional training and policies that promote economic equality.
