The Minister of MIETI hosts investors from Balkan Industries

Minister Mimoza Kusari-Lila hosted a meeting with investors from Balkan Industries to discuss investment opportunities in Kosovo.

On this occasion, the minister reflected on the fact that there is something special about a professional conversation that begins in a place one has left behind, yet in a way it brings one back to it; she recalled that her discussion with William McClure and Philip Krivacek of Balkan Industries originated from Pittsburgh and Duquesne University, where she completed her master’s studies.

According to the minister, Philip’s journey was the reverse of her own: he travelled from Pittsburgh to Kosovo with his family to invest, with plans to create an ecosystem that links technology, data, and capital.

Kusari-Lila stated that the discussion moved from this common point, to the topic that unites them even more today: investment and growth opportunities in Kosovo. She presented the industrial parks currently under development, the ICT Tower, and the new opportunities arising from EFTA.

Balkan Industries is considering Kosovo as its fourth investment destination, after the USA, Great Britain, and the United Arab Emirates.

For the minister, this is precisely what we want to build: a Kosovo where ideas, capital, and talent find the space to grow.
